Oily roots and dry ends: 3 steps to overcome it

Having oily roots and dry ends is very common, especially if you have medium to long hair. Discover the 3 steps to overcome it.

Step 1: purify the scalp

Purifying your scalp is a necessary step to fight against oily roots.
To do this, before your shampoo, use the Cair fortifying serum.
Equipped with the prebiome complex, this treatment acts as a real deep treatment by detoxifying the scalp and balancing the microbiota.

Its use should be adapted according to your needs. If your scalp is particularly unbalanced, use this detoxifying treatment before each shampoo and let it sit for 10 minutes before rinsing. Be careful not to use too much product: 6 to 7 pumps are enough. Then, massage to apply the treatment evenly over the entire scalp. You can also leave it on overnight for an intensive treatment.

If your scalp is not very unbalanced or if you see improvement, use the fortifying serum once a week. This will help maintain the microbial balance of your hair ecosystem.

Step 2: use a gentle natural shampoo

To remove sebum, nothing beats a good shampoo. But beware, some rules must be followed. Paradoxically, washing your hair too frequently can increase sebum production. Therefore, make sure to space out shampoos as much as possible.
Moreover, a shampoo that is too harsh and contains sulfate can irritate the scalp and stimulate sebum production. It is therefore recommended to use a gentle, natural shampoo.

The Cair hyaluronic acid shampoo is sulfate-free, silicone-free, and composed of 92% ingredients of natural origin. It gently cleanses the hair without irritating it and leaves no suffocating residue.
Enriched with hyaluronic acid and rice water, it acts as a real hydration bomb for your hair.

Tips: to avoid damaging your hair fiber during shampooing, gently massage the sides, back, and top of the head without rubbing.

Step 3: Hydrate the lengths

Having dry ends is not uncommon and there can be many reasons.
Firstly, the longer your hair is, the harder it is to distribute sebum to the ends, preventing their natural hydration.
The use of heating devices also plays a role in dehydrating the hair fiber. Heat is indeed responsible for the evaporation of water present in the fiber, which dries out the hair. That is why it is essential to protect them from heat with a heat-protective treatment.

To care for your lengths, discover the Cair protective mist. It hydrates and strengthens the hair thanks to its formulation with active waters of rice, organic grape, raspberry, and bamboo.
Moreover, it creates a non-occlusive film around the hair to protect it from external aggressions such as pollution, UV rays, and heat.
This mist also improves styling by making detangling easier.
Your hair is thus soft, hydrated, and protected.
